Crispy potato latkes with smoked salmon and chive sour cream – a delicious breakfast or brunch recipe that can easily be prepped ahead of time. Post sponsored by Co-op.
I have done so many sweet recipes recently that savoury ones haven’t had much of a look in (it’s not my fault that there are so many Christmassy things that I want to bake!); but I couldn’t not share the recipe for these crispy potato latkes with smoked salmon and chive sour cream with you. They are incredibly good – the entire batch was devoured very quickly after I was done taking photos, and I think that they would make a great Christmas morning breakfast, or Christmas dinner starter. These herby parmesan smashed potatoes are the ideal side dish – creamy inside, crispy outside and totally addictive! Post sponsored by Albert Bartlett.
These herby parmesan smashed potatoes are my new favourite side-dish. In fact, never mind side-dish, I would be very happy to just eat a plateful of them on their own, they are that good! (more…)
Does anyone else struggle to return to normal life after they have been away somewhere? While I do often buy hummus (I’m lazy), it is so quick and easy to make your own and that way you can control the flavours to get the balance of lemon, garlic and olive oil that suits you. (more…)
Beetroot is such a versatile vegetable and is also incredibly good for you, not to mention it’s beautiful, intense colour. Despite the fact that it is one of my favourite vegetables, I don’t think that I have a single recipe using it on the blog! (Until now). That’s a shame because there are so many brilliant ways to use it, from soup to chocolate cake; I will make sure that I remember to post more recipes using beetroot from now on. (more…)
Spring is just about here, and with it comes an abundance of fresh produce, in particular, green things! This super green spaghetti with lemony rocket & walnut pesto, asparagus, peas and goat’s cheese makes great use of a few of spring’s best vegetables – asparagus, peas (ok, so I cheated on the pea front and used frozen ones, but it would be even better with fresh) and rocket.
