Vegan chocolate fudge cake – an easy to make, moist, fudgy vegan chocolate cake topped with coconut milk ganache. No one will be able to guess that it’s vegan!
This cake is a vegan version of my favourite chocolate cake – a rich, moist chocolate cake slathered with dark chocolate ganache. I’ve been sitting on the recipe for a while now but I figured that seeing as it is Veganuary I really should get round to sharing it. (more…)
Chocolate gingerbread biscuits – a chocolatey twist on classic gingerbread biscuits; they make great cut-outs for Christmas!

Double chocolate bundt cake – a moist, sinfully delicious, intensely chocolatey cake with silky smooth, rich chocolate ganache.
I think that bundt cakes have to be my favourite kind of cake. They are easy to make (apart from the slightly nerve-wracking moment when it comes to turning them out of the tin!), feed a crowd, look good without the need for any fancy decorating, and most importantly, they taste amazing! (more…)

Vegan pumpkin chocolate chip cookies – easy, soft, chewy cookies that are full of pumpkin spice flavour and totally vegan too.
This weekend I did something that I almost never do – I had the weekend off. No work, no social media, no thinking about the blog (well, that last one is a bit of a lie, it is pretty much impossible to stop thinking about it altogether). Instead we went out for dinner, went to a gig (Eluveitie, an awesome folk metal band, in case you were interested) and did some shopping. I even had time to get stuck in to Book Of Dust by Philip Pullman which I had been eagerly awaiting and am thoroughly enjoying thus far. (more…)

Chocolate orange doughnuts – soft, orange scented fried doughnuts topped with chocolate orange ganache and candied oranges – pure heaven!
A fresh, fried, yeasted doughnut is a beautiful thing. Pillowy soft, sweet and so full of flavour, fried doughnuts are the pinnacle of comfort food. I do think that baked and cake doughnuts have their place, but they simply cannot beat the perfection of a fried one. (more…)
