Double chocolate bundt cake – a moist, sinfully delicious, intensely chocolatey cake with silky smooth, rich chocolate ganache.
I think that bundt cakes have to be my favourite kind of cake. They are easy to make (apart from the slightly nerve-wracking moment when it comes to turning them out of the tin!), feed a crowd, look good without the need for any fancy decorating, and most importantly, they taste amazing! (more…)
Chocolate orange doughnuts – soft, orange scented fried doughnuts topped with chocolate orange ganache and candied oranges – pure heaven!
A fresh, fried, yeasted doughnut is a beautiful thing. Pillowy soft, sweet and so full of flavour, fried doughnuts are the pinnacle of comfort food. I do think that baked and cake doughnuts have their place, but they simply cannot beat the perfection of a fried one. (more…)
I’m heading off to Bloodstock festival tomorrow; I go to at least one festival every year and am usually very well prepared way in advance. This year however it seems like time has gone by much quicker than usual and I am utterly unprepared, so today is going to be spent in a mad rush trying to get everything packed and sorted. I haven’t even cleaned our tent after last years camping so that is going to be a grim job! (more…)
