I’ve included lots of beautiful and useful kitchen products, as well as a good variety of vegan-friendly food and drink products and cookbooks. There is also an awesome giveaway at the bottom of the post, make sure you enter!

As well as tea they make the most beautiful teaware, and this tea set for two comprising of a Two Cup Tea-iere and two glass cup and saucers makes sharing loose leaf tea an absolute pleasure. You can read more about their lovely teas on my vegan gingerbread bundt cake post.

Enter the giveaway at the bottom of this post to win some gorgeous JING teaware and teas worth £67!

2. Portmeirion Botanic Blue Cake Stand (£39.50), Botanic Blue Cake Slice (£14.50) and Botanic Blue Pastry Forks (£21): Portmeirion make a huge range of beautiful pottery, they really have something to suit everyone! This Botanic Blue Cake Stand is simply beautiful and would be a wonderful gift for a keen baker to display their creations on. The matching cake slice and pastry forks really complete the set for a perfect Afternoon Tea!

ProCook matte black shallow cast iron casserole pan.

3. ProCook Cast Iron Casserole (£59): Cast iron pans and cookware make wonderful gifts that will last a lifetime. Not only are they incredibly useful but they look good too! This attractive matte black shallow cast iron casserole pan from ProCook is incredibly good quality at a far more affordable price than most cast iron cookware. It also looks beautiful with it’s matte finish and brass handle; I’m sure you will see it popping up here on the blog in photos!

White and rose gold kettle from Tower.

4. Tower White and Rose Gold Stainless Steel Kettle (£65.99): I’ve got a real thing for a nice kettle and I absolutely adore this beautiful one from Tower homewares. Their rose gold range is just beautiful and comes in white or black to suit any kitchen. Not only is this 3kw 1.7 litre kettle really attractive, but it is extremely quiet too; and I really love the little thermometer that lets you know how hot the water is.

Tower white and rose gold saute pan.

5. Tower 28cm Rose Gold and White Saute Pan (£43.99): Also from Tower’s rose gold collection is this awesome saute pan. It is beautifully designed, suitable for use on all hobs and oven-safe up to 260C. It is also incredibly non-stick, meaning that you have to use very little oil for cooking (or even none at all!) and it is really quick and easy to wash.

SousChef Japanese ramen bowls

6. SousChef Japanese Ramen Bowl Set (£39.50): SousChef is one of my favourite online shops and is the place to go to find all kinds of weird and wonderful ingredients, it is also the perfect site to do your Christmas shopping on! They have everything from Chilli Advent Calendars to amazing flavours of panettone. This Japanese Ramen Bowl set is utterly beautiful and would be the perfect gift for someone with a thing for Japanese cuisine; they even sell all the ingredients you could ever need to make your own delicious ramen recipes.

Mason Cash In The Forest range

7. Mason Cash In The Forest Range: Mason Cash is a classic brand for good reason; their mixing bowls have truly stood the test of time and are as beautiful and practical today as they were in 1901 when the first iconic Mason Cash mixing bowl was designed. Their gorgeous ‘In The Forest’ range features whimsical forest scenes inspired by folk tales of the mid 19th century. The beautifully designed range includes various sizes of mixing bowls, as well as pudding basins, serving platters, cake tins, mugs, baking dishes and loads more. Available from Amazon as well as many other retailers.

Foodie stocking fillers

Clockwise from top left:

1.Berghoff Leo Herb Cutter and Bowl (£12): This is one of my favourite new kitchen gadgets. The half moon cutter and curved board make chopping and mincing herbs incredibly easy. It also has four graduated holes for easily stripping the leaves from stemmed herbs like thyme and rosemary (a job I hate doing by hand!).

2. Judge Latte Milk Frother (£18): This unassuming little glass milk frother is absolutely incredible. I like frothy milk in my coffee and this produces perfectly silky, frothy milk in mere seconds! It is operated simply by pumping the plunger up and down and you can use hot or cold milk. It works perfectly with soy or oat milk as well as regular, and means that you can enjoy frothy, cafe style coffees at home without the need for a steamer or electric frother.

3. BIA Gastro-Noir-Mie Mini Casserole (£6.95): The Gastro-Noir-Mie range has been developed to look like cast iron, but to actually be a lightweight and affordable alternative. They are made from porcelain and coated with an attractive, tactile black glaze that looks just like cast iron. The range is all oven, freezer, microwave and dishwasher safe, making them a versatile and attractive addition to the kitchen.

4. Kuhn Rikon Colori Paring Knives (£5.96): These colourful, funky knives are practical as well as bright and fun! They also come with a sheath so that they can be stored or transported safely. There are a variety of fun designs, these ones are strawberry and flamingo.

5. Find Me A Gift Kitchen Conversions Wooden Chopping Board (£9.99): Find Me A Gift is an incredibly useful site with thousands of gift ideas for absolutely everyone. 6. Prepara iPrep Tablet Stand (£20): This handy gadget is designed to hold a variety of sizes of tablet in either portrait or landscape mode, and the screen can be tilted to suit. It even comes with a stylus so that you don’t get the screen covered in food while you are cooking!

Available from Ocado and Waitrose.

Drinks Galore!:

gins and spirits

Clockwise from top left:

1.The Duppy Share Caribbean Rum (£27.50): Duppies are dark Caribbean spirits, originating from Jamaica and known to have a special love of rum. As a spirit ages in barrels, a certain amount is lost through evaporation over the years. Caribbean legend has it that the dark duppy spirits swoop between the islands stealing the best share of the rum. The Duppy Share is a perfectly balanced, unique blend of premium rums from the beautiful worthy park estate in Jamaica and the prestigious foursquare distillery in Barbados. These contrasting island styles – fiery Jamaican rum and a smooth Barbadian rum make the duppy share the perfect partner for punch and other rum cocktails.

2. Rock Rose Gin – Winter Edition (£37.50): I’m a big fan of Rock Rose gin and this winter edition is perfect for Christmas. It features spruce tips alongside the usual juniper, giving it a lovely earthy, slightly citrusy flavour.

3. Jawbox Classic Dry Gin (£25): Jawbox is a classic gin produced in Belfast which features eleven botanicals including black mountain heather, grains of paradise, cubeb and cassia quills. It makes for a superb G&T! Available from Sainsbury’s as well as various other online retailers.

4. Pickering’s Gin Christmas Baubles (£24.95): These gin baubles from 31Dover are the perfect way to add a little Christmas spirit to your Christmas tree! There are 6 different coloured baubles, each containing 50ml of Pickering’s gin.

6. Four Pillars Dry Island Gin (£35.95): Dry Island Gin is a Swedish-Australian collaboration from Four Pillars & Hernö distilleries. It is made with river mint (a native Australian herb similar to spearmint), meadowsweet (a Swedish meadow herb), roasted wattleseed (an edible Australian seed), strawberry gum (a type of Australian eucalyptus), lemon myrtle (an Australian rainforest flower) & fresh lemons, the liquid is bright & lifted with beautiful citrus notes and a lovely floral cut-grass and fresh pine character. Available exclusively from 31Dover.

3. Baileys Almande (£16): This new almond flavoured drink from Baileys is vegan and dairy free but still deliciously indulgent! Best enjoyed over ice or in cocktails. Available from all major supermarkets.

4. Proudly Vegan Wines (£6.99): It can be difficult to tell which wines are suitable for vegans; not so with these ones as it is proudly stated on the bottle! They produce a Merlot, Sauvignon Blanc and Rose and are available from Ocado and Amazon.

5. Flyte Clean Energy Drinks: Christmas can be exhausting so give yourself a boost with these 100% naturally sourced, low calorie energy drinks!

6. No.1 Kombucha:  The festive season can also be hard on the digestive system – there is a lot of food, and not all of it is healthy. Kombucha is a fermented tea that is packed full of live cultures which is great for your gut; these ones come in ginger and turmeric, raspberry, pomegranate and hibiscus, and passion fruit and goji flavours. Available from Sainsbury’s.

flying tiger cheeseboard

With drinks you need nibbles, and what better to go with wine than a cheeseboard? (Vegan or otherwise). This cheeseboard set from Flying Tiger (£15) is perfect for serving up some tasty nibbles, and these crackers from Nairn’s and Peter’s Yard are great accompaniments for cheese or hummus. (Do note that not all of the cracker varieties are suitable for vegans).

Sweet Treats:

What is Christmas without a bit of indulgence? Here is a selection of delectable sweet treats to nibble on throughout the holidays or to use as stocking fillers.

a selection of chocolate, mince pies, christmas pudding, panforte and nut butter.

Clockwise From Top Left:

1.{READER DISCOUNT} Thortful is a creative card marketplace supporting a community of designers, illustrators and photographers who create beautiful, unique greeting cards. They have thousands of designs for all different occasions, whether you want something funny, retro, or just a beautiful illustration. 2. Riverford are well known for their organic veg boxes, but they do also offer a variety of other products, including these new vegan mince pies (£5.25 for 6) and vegan Christmas pudding (£11.95). They both use coconut oil instead of butter to make these into delectable treats that everyone can enjoy.

3. Arden and Amici make a gorgeous range of Italian biscuits and seasonal treats, including this wonderful vegan-friendly panforte made with almonds, candied fruits and spices. It is delicious served in thin slices with a cup of coffee! Available from Tesco.

4. If you fancy giving making your own natural, organic vegan chocolates a go, or know someone else who might, then this chocolate making kit from Indigo Herbs contains everything you need to make delicious, healthier chocolates. (£12.99)

5. Pip And Nut make a range of all-natural, palm oil free nut butters; and for the festive season they’ve brought out this limited edition chocolate orange almond butter. Made with just almonds, orange extract, agave nectar, coconut, cacao paste and sea salt (no preservatives!), this stuff is amazing drizzled on toast or pancakes, or use it as a dip for apple slices or crackers. Available online and in supermarkets.

A selection of Guittard and Doisy and Dam chocolates.

1.Guittard make excellent quality couverture chocolates and they have a great range for bakers including a whole variety of different flavours of baking chips, chocolate wafers for melting and baking, and cocoa powder. I think that a selection of chocolates would make an excellent gift for a keen baker! Their dark chocolates are dairy-free. Available from Amazon as well as various other retailers.

2. Doisy And Dam make delicious chocolates that are also packed full of superfoods such as goji, lucuma and maca, meaning that you can have your treat and it is good for you too! They sell both bars and packs of chocolate snaps which are perfect for snacking and sharing (or not!).

My favourite flavour is the maple, toasted rice and pink salt which has a lovely crunch from the rice and just enough saltiness to make it very addictive! All of their chocolates are gluten free and all the dark chocolates are vegan. Available online and in Sainsbury’s, Boots, Holland & Barrett, Amazon, Ocado, Planet Organic, Wholefoods and over 750 independent cafes, coffee shops and delis across the UK.

scandikitchen hamper

ScandiKitchen has everything you need for a perfectly Scandinavian Christmas, and loads of products that would be great as part of a hamper such as these lovely ginger thins (£1.59), Glögg mix (£3.50) and lingonberry and bilberry jams (£3.29).

Cookbooks:

You can’t have Christmas without cookbooks! Here is a selection of some of my favourite vegan ones:

vegan cookbooks

1.Vegan 100: I really like this book, it contains a wide range of recipes, many of which are a bit fancier and more interesting than the standard vegan fayre. It also has quite a few recipes for homemade seitan, so if homemade meat substitutes are your thing then this is the book for you. For this reason I would say that it is best for people who aren’t beginner cooks however as some of the recipes are a little more involved; there are plenty of simple ones too however!

2. Vegan Christmas: From the same author as Vegan 100 comes Vegan Christmas. A must have for any vegans hosting this Christmas, it contains all the recipes you could possibly need for a delicious vegan festive season.

3. BOSH!: I love this book; everything I have cooked from it so far has been absolutely delicious and the recipes are really easy to follow. It covers breakfast, lunch, dinner, dessert and cocktails so you are never short of inspiration and it has quickly become a staple in my kitchen.

4. Ms Cupcake: The Naughtiest Vegan Cakes In Town: This book is a must for anyone wanting to get into vegan baking. The recipes are easy to follow and the results are delicious! Do bear in mind that this is not a ‘healthier’ vegan baking book – the recipes are just as sugar and fat laden as the non-vegan versions they are adapted from; but that is no bad thing in my opinion.

5. The Homemade Vegan Pantry: This is a book for people who are serious about vegan cooking and baking – it covers making all of your own basics, such as butter, plant milks, mayonnaise, cheese, yogurt etc etc. The recipes I have tried all work well so if you like kitchen projects and want to reduce the amount of processed food you eat then this book is perfect. Do bear in mind that the measurements are all in cups and ounces which I find a little annoying.

Don’t Forget About The Kids!:

Playmobil advent calendar

1.Playmobil Advent Calendar (£19.99): This one is not so much food related as an alternative to food. These Playmobil advent calendars are a great idea for kids who can’t have chocolate; or if you just don’t want your kid having sweets every day. Each day you get a toy, which makes up part of a larger scene. This one is Santa’s Workshop, but there is also Christmas On The Farm, Royal Ice Skating Trip, Jewel Thief Police Operation, Horse Farm and Top Agents.

kids apron set

2. Kids Christmas Apron Set (£12.50): This adorable festive apron and chef hat from Marks & Spencer is perfect for getting kids to help in the kitchen this Christmas.

3. Mini Bake Festive Utensil Set (£5): These cute child sized baking utensils are perfect to go with the apron set; get the gingerbread on!

Busyme electronic cash register

4. Busy Me Electronic Cash Register (£19.99): Once the kids are done baking, why not get them to ring up their goodies on this toy till from The Entertainer? It has a working calculator and microphone, and even has a pretend chip and pin reader. It comes with play food and money and is perfect for budding little entrepreneurs!

Disclaimer – I was sent some of these products for inclusion in this guide; all opinions are my own. All prices correct at time of publishing.

  • After realising the other day that I hadn't posted any Valentine's day recipes I quickly whipped up this easy vegan chocolate raspberry skillet cookie for two. It is gooey in the middle, crispy around the edge and perfect for sharing straight from the skillet! The recipe is on the blog now. #whpmadewithlove #whatveganseat #thebakefeed #thehappynow #treatyoself #instafood #cookiesofinstagram #cookies #cookiestagram #cookiemonster #skilletcookie #vegancookies #still_life_gallery #tv_stilllife #foodblogfeed #foodandwine #foodstyling #forkyeah #foodheaven #feedfeed #hautecuisines #veganfoodshares #veganuk #veganrecipes #veganeats #veganbaking #vzcomade #valentinesday #dessertporn #dessertrecipe
  • #Ad This pancake day why not #banishthebeige and swap the usual boring beige pancakes for these ultra colourful ones stacked with M&M’s® Spread with crispy pieces and fresh berries?! They are perfect for a fun pancake party and the crispy chocolatey spread, juicy berries and fluffy vanilla pancakes are so good together!

To make them, whisk together 250g plain flour, 2 ½ Tbsp cornflour (cornstarch), 2 ½ tsp baking powder and a pinch of salt in a large bowl. Add 300ml milk of your choice, 5 Tbsp sunflower oil, 100ml maple syrup or agave nectar, 2 tsp vanilla extract and 2 ½ tsp cider vinegar and whisk until smooth.

Divide the batter equally between 4 small bowls and use a little gel food colouring in your choice of colours to colour each one. I used pink, purple, blue and turquoise. Place a good non-stick frying pan over a medium-low heat (if your pan isn't very non-stick then you will need to lightly grease it). Use 2 Tbsp batter per pancake and cook until bubbles appear in the surface; carefully flip the pancakes over and cook for about 20-30 seconds more, until lightly browned. Keep the pancakes warm in a low oven while you cook the rest. You should get 5 small pancakes per colour.

To serve, spread a little M&M’s® Spread with crispy pieces on to a pancake and top with a few berries. Top with another pancake, more spread and berries until the stack is 4 pancakes high. Repeat with the remaining pancakes. Serves 5.
